Privacy Policy — myPDF2Excel

Privacy First

myPDF2Excel is designed with your privacy as the top priority. Unlike most online conversion tools, we do not upload, store, or process your files on any server. Everything happens locally in your browser.

Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or transmit your PDF files or the extracted data. All file processing is done entirely client-side using:

  • FileReader API — Reads your file from your local filesystem
  • pdf.js — Parses the PDF content in your browser’s memory
  • SheetJS — Generates the Excel file locally

When you close the browser tab, nothing remains.

Analytics and Advertising

We use Google Analytics (via Partytown) to understand aggregate site usage, and Google AdSense to display advertisements. These services may set cookies and collect anonymized usage data.

  • Google Analytics collects anonymous page view data to help us improve the site
  • Google AdSense displays advertisements and may use cookies for ad personalization

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ad Settings.

Third-Party Services

  • Google Fonts — We load the Inter font from Google Fonts CDN for typography. Google may log your IP address when fetching the font.
  • Partytown — We use Partytown to run third-party scripts (analytics) in a web worker, improving performance while maintaining privacy.

Cookies

This site uses:

  • LocalStorage — Stores your theme preference (light/dark mode). No personal data is stored.
  • Third-party cookies — Google Analytics and AdSense may set cookies as described above.

Your Rights

Under GDPR (Europe) and CCPA (California), you have the right to:

  • Know what data is collected
  • Opt out of data collection
  • Request deletion of any stored data

Since we store no personal data on our servers, there is nothing to delete. For third-party services, please refer to their respective privacy policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page.
